There are a lot of social media trainings available in the market today. We see ads on Facebook, Google and between our videos. And because of these options, researching the credentials of a possible social media trainer for your business or yourself is imperative.
If you inquire about my services and ask what my credentials are, I wouldn’t get offended. I’d happily provide you with my CV and certifications. As a trainer, it is my responsibility to make sure that you learn everything there is to know about the topic, and I can only give you what I know.
So if you have been Googling for a social media trainer, and chanced upon this blog post, I’ll make it easier for you.
My Story
I started with digital marketing back in 2002 when I was working an 8-5 job as a writer. My first task was to write an e-book about the marriage of offline and online marketing. I thought it that relationship was beautiful and I continued studying and applying what I learned.
In 2009, I started working on Coffeebot underground because my entrepreneur friends from the US kept on asking me for help on their business. Soon after, the referrals grew, and in 2014, I met my partner who helped me set-up our first office.
We started exploring the local market, and every client that we won always had the same deciding factor. They always say…
“You were the only one who explained it in simple ways we could understand.”
And that’s when I realized, businesses thought that:
- Digital marketing was an enemy they had to defeat.
- They didn’t understand how technology can work for them.
As it turns out, a lot of people saw technology this way. They thought it was anti-learning, anti-offline marketing, anti-truth, anti-reading, anti-everything.
And that’s when I started teaching my values and beliefs about digital marketing and social media.
My Values and Beliefs
Digital Marketing is Simply Promoting Online
If you’re confused about what digital marketing is, just remember that. It’s just a way of promoting your products or services on the internet. The better you are at it, the more you sell.
Technology is Just a Tool, Use it Well
Because it’s a tool, it can be good or bad. It depends on how you use it as a business, or a person. Technology is like money. It is powerful and amplifies who you really are. That’s why you can and should learn the right ways of using it.
All Businesses Need Digital Marketing
And I mean all, not just the big corporations. Remember that sharing the music you just created, the cake you just baked, or the slightly used clothes on facebook is already a part of digital marketing. It’s because what you shared can reach potential customers using the internet. And you need those customers.
