As a JCI chapter committed to protecting the environment, with our brand, Eco Duwaling, we are proud to be one of the partners for the event, and to be an instrument in shaping the youth’s love for the environment.
Sally Sarcena, JCI Duwaling’s incoming president for 2018 delivered that day’s message of support.
Good morning I am Saly Sarcena President of JCI Duwaling.
Let me share with all of you a little about JCI Duwaling. We are a non-profit organization of leading national network of young and active citizens taking an initiative to solve local challenges. We are not just focused on charity services but we are focused on sustainable impact both locally and globally.
I am here because like you, I am a changemaker. Like you, I accepted the call to a more sustainable environment. And because as a mother of two wonderful children, it is my responsibility to give them not only the best of this material world can offer, but also provide a livable environment conducive for living.
To have a conducive living, you must have fresh air to breathe, clean water to drink, clean seas and oceans to swim and a myriad species of animals that you, your children and your children’s children can enjoy.
I thank Kenny Angon for including JCI Duwaling in advancing your advocacies to our environment, most especially today’s National Clean Up Day.To CENRO, DENR, Let’s Do It Philippines, MYDC, BBTC, Davao Light, R.A. Hao Foundation, AIESEC Davao, NCCC Cares, DRANHS, JMC, PHILSCI, Brgy Matina Aplaya, Team Acosta, Youth for Peace, Task Force Davao and to the rest of us who are gathered here, continue the passion to lead and to serve and making a positive change.
Allow me to end my message with this quotation,“Sooner or later, we will have to recognize that the Earth has rights too, to live without pollution. What mankind must know is that human beings cannot live without Mother Earth, but the planet can live without humans.”
Good Day and let us enjoy this day.
