Essential Oils – Why I Decided to Try Them

by | Feb 26, 2018 | Essential Oils, General, Health & Wellness | 0 comments

Essential Oils. Friends and family have tried several times before to introduce me to it. They said it was interesting and worth the try. At the time, I just wasn’t looking for interesting. I had jobs to do, commitments to deliver, deadlines to beat, shows to watch and books to read. I had no time for another interesting I couldn’t spend time on.

What Convinced Me To Try

Months later, my feeds were filled with their essential oils. They had pretty photos of diffusers and tiny bottles, and captions that said, “I can’t believe this helped me get through flu season”, or “this helped me get 8 hours of sleep and wake up fully energetic!” or “Wow this mix really improved my focus!”

What?! Avoid the flu, get 8 hours of sleep and gain better focus?! Why didn’t you tell me this was what you were actually buying? To be honest, I thought aroma therapy was similar to crystal therapy. It may work for some, but I’m just not into it. I don’t believe it, so it probably won’t work for me. I have to admit, one of the reasons for this is the lack of education. I already assumed it was this, so I refused to listen to anything related to the topic.

However, listening to just anyone talk about aromatherapy, and listening to my friends and family talk about their effects are different. I wouldn’t just listen to anybody, I wouldn’t buy that story so you can make me buy. I would however, listen to a friend talk about a specific problem they had, and how using these oils benefited them.

Young Living Essential Oils Starter Kit

So here I am, looking for first-hand experience, hoping to be fully convinced of how effective these oils are. Yes, I bought the kit, and it’s pretty!

So this is where all the magic oils are. It’s very pretty and something you would want to show everyone.

Once you open the box, you’ll find your amazing 10 basic essential oils. These are Lavender, Lemon, Peppermint, Frankincense, Copaiba, Panaway, RC, Thieves and Digize. Will talk about each oil in another post.

But wait, there’s more!!! Remove the upper level of oils, and you can find your bonuses. 2 packs of Ningxhia, 10 amber bottles and some samples you can give to your friends. It also comes with your 11th essential oil, Stress away, but I was already using it, so it’s not in the pic. My bad!

The kit also comes with this diffuser. You just put some water in, drop some oils, and smell the magic!

Things to Help You Get Started

Support System

If you’re still new to this oil business, it will get overwhelming if you don’t have enough help. I’m very lucky, because I have a support system from fellow oil users. They added me to their facebook group where we exchange recipes and guide each other on how to use essential oils, and which ones to use.
