Grabfood is in Davao, and they are making their presence felt with GrabFood Christmas Village.

Too lazy to read the blog? You can also just watch this video.

Grabfood Christmas Village

It was a busy event with booths from some of Grab’s partner restaurants in Davao. The exhibitors included:

🎄 HQ Juice Bar & Quick Bites
🎄 Sarsa de Ambrose
🎄 Alibaba Shawarma
🎄 Majestea Coffee House
🎄 SouthWing Cafeteria
🎄 Conlu Bread & Pastry shop
🎄 Red Corner Burger Cafe
🎄 Delikatesse
🎄 Confex & Co. Bakehouse
🎄 Aloha Ice Cream Shake
🎄 SPARK Coffee + Crafts

Grabfood released its service to Davao last November, but had its grand launch with GrabFood Christmas Village at SM last December 14, 2019. It was supposed to last for a day more, but they decided to cancel the event on the 15th due to a 6.9 magnitude earthquake.

Still, on the first night, Davaoeños enjoyed the games, entertainment, and of course, food!

This is just one of a series of launches that the GrabFood team has rolled out across the Philippines. Before Davao, they launched in Bacolod. There are 10 more cities in line after.

They already have 100 partner restaurants in Davao City alone, and they can see it grow even bigger.

Grab History

Grab has grown exponentially over the years. What started out as a cab hailing app back in 2012 in Malaysia has grown into a $10 billion dollar company. Grab expanded to the Philippines in 2013.

Its services also expanded, and they now have:

  • GrabTaxi
  • GrabCar
  • GrabRemorque
  • GrabBike
  • GrabHitch
  • GrabExpress
  • GrabFresh
  • GrabPay and
  • GrabFood

Things are looking awesome for Grab, and it’s nice to see an Asian Tech company become so successful amidst the Silicon Valley competition.
