Mariphil Your Hearts With Joy – JCI Duwaling Gives

by | Dec 17, 2017 | Advocacies | 0 comments

It was an early Christmas for JCI Duwaling, as we headed off to MARIPHIL Children’s Village last December 16, 2017 to live the real meaning of Christmas, giving and making children happy.

MARIPHIL Children’s Village, Atong Pinuy-Anan is a joint project, which was founded in collaboration between the German association Hilfsprojekt MARIPHIL e.V. and the Philippine association Aid-Project MARIPHIL, the City of Panabo and the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The children housed in MARIPHIL are children who have been physically, emotionally or sexually abused, given up by their families and society, or even neglected, abandoned and repelled, are far too young.

As an advocate of children and their rights, this year’s 2nd Mariphil Your Hearts with Joy was adopted by JCI Duwaling, headed by JCI Member Andrea C. Taylor. We are happy that this project of giving was supported by so many donors and sponsors. 43 children have received gifts from different generous Secret Santas (JCI Members and friends of members). The House mothers were also given gifts from My Novacore, and snacks were sponsored by Leandro’s Catering.

We would like to send our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported this project. May you be blessed twofolds. More than material objects, this project is meant to make the children feel that there are people who still care for them, and there still is a bright future, especially in this season of giving.
