How to Find the Recently Watched Videos on Facebook

So Facebook has been working on their video feature with the aim of directly competing with youtube. So far, they’ve gained a lot of ground, what with auto starting videos when you scroll on your feeds. They’re also beginning to produce material from pages with HUGE followings such as Humans of New York. However, for many out there, youtube is still the first choice. One of the reasons is the history tab.

So like most people, I find a lot of interesting videos on Facebook. They’re either ones shared by friends or related videos of something I clicked to watch on my mobile. But, if you didn’t save that video, or shared it with a friend, you usually end up stumped when you want to watch it again. Problem: Facebook has no history button. No it doesn’t, but it does have “Videos You’ve Watched” feature.

I kid you not. It has an entire activity log of every single thing you’ve done on Facebook (if you’re hiding something beware) but for now, let’s focus on the videos.

To find your video history, simply follow these steps:

  1. Go to your profile
  2. On the upper right hand side, click on View Activity Log
  3. Click More
  4. and you’ll find “Videos You’ve Watched”

Easy. Please note that Facebook does change every now and then so the interface may not be the same if you’re reading this months from now, but at least you now know where to find it.

There. You can sleep now.
